Job summary

Wilson Vale is recruiting a General Assistant for a maternity cover at one of our workplace restaurants in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire SG8 6EE. The role is 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 7:00–14:30, with a start around 25 October 2026, on a temporary basis.

You will assist with food prep, serving customers and maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards. We value a friendly, reliable team player who can work well in a high-pressured environment and deliver excellent customer service while

Qualifications

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be responsible for the preparation and serving of food
• Have a can do attitude and will work well as part of a team of 4
• Be customer focused
• Have basic food knowledge
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working as part of the team
