Job summary

Wilson Vale is hiring a General Assistant to join our team at an independent school in Amersham. You will help prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff, maintain hygiene standards, and support the kitchen team in a busy school environment.

This role offers 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time only, with training provided and opportunities for development within the team.

Qualifications

Job description

General Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join our team at one of our independent schools in Amersham HP6 5PF. You'll have flexibility to work 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during term time only. Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout. We're looking for a positive, honest and reliable General Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team. You'll support the preparation and service of fresh, nutritious and well-balanced meals for pupils and staff in a private school setting, while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and service. You'll help with food preparation, serving, cleaning and general kitchen duties, as well as supporting the team with a range of dietary requirements and preferences. Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. There are also opportunities for development and progression within the team for the right person.

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
