Job summary

Bede Academy is seeking a part-time catering assistant to join our busy school kitchen. 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:00am to 2:00pm, supporting the catering team to deliver healthy, nutritious meals for students, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will have catering experience in a high‑quality, customer‑focused environment, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team.

• Strong work ethic, high personal work standards and attention to detail.
• Able to work in a team to deliver the team’s objectives, with good interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and adaptability to change leading to improvement.

• Assist in preparing and serving meals as part of a busy school catering team.
• Support daily kitchen operations and customer service in a school environment.

Bede Academy's kitchen is at the heart of daily school life, with our catering team producing hundreds of healthy, nutritious meals for students, staff and visitors every day, and catering for special events within the academic year.

We now have the opportunity to recruit a new member of staff to our catering team to help us deliver an even better service to the students and staff.

• is able to work supportively as a member of a team in order to deliver the team’s objectives, with good interpersonal skills;
• has a positive attitude and embraces change leading to improvement;
• can cope with the physical demands of the role.
