Job summary

Addison Park Care Home in Callington, Cornwall, is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the catering supervisor in preparing and delivering meals, while maintaining a hygienic kitchen and dining area. You’ll help ensure nutritious, well-presented food for residents in a busy, caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day smooth operation of the kitchen.
• Understand and cater to special dietary needs, ensuring presentation and nutritional standards are met.
• Support the kitchen team in preparing cooking and plating high-quality meals.
• Clean kitchen areas and equipment according to work schedules.
• Assist with meal service in the dining areas.
• Tidy up and wash dishes, utensils, and surfaces after meals.
• Follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and welcoming kitchen and food service environment.
