Job summary

Aria Court Care Home in March, Cambridgeshire, is seeking an Assistant Chef to join our kitchen team and support high-standard residential dining. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will assist with meal prep and ensure quality and consistency across all meals.

With a minimum of two years catering experience and NVQ Level 3 in Food Hygiene, you will tailor meals to residents’ dietary needs and promote choice and dignity. The role offers a 40-hour week rota and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years catering experience working within a kitchen environment is essential.
• NVQ level 3 in Food Hygiene is essential.
• Exposure to working within a care environment is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Providing a high-quality dining experience by promoting choice and dignity to the residents of the home with the services we provide
• Liaise with residents to ensure they are happy with the food and beverages being delivered within the home
• Ensure the nutritional content of the meals provided cater for the dietary needs of all residents.
• Assist the Head Chef with all regulatory and statutory requirements are met and company policies and procedures are adhered to.
