Job summary

XXXXX is seeking a Catering Assistant to help prepare and serve nutritious, well-presented meals for residents. You’ll follow health, safety, and COSHH standards, minimise waste, and work closely with the catering team to keep service smooth and friendly.

You’ll bring a Level 2 Food Safety certificate or willingness to obtain one, plus experience in catering or kitchen environments. Experience with older people is a plus.

Qualifications

• Health, safety and COSHH procedures knowledge.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
