Job summary

Rhodes Wood Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare, is seeking a Catering Assistant to join the kitchen team on a 37.5-hour week in Hatfield. You will support chefs with meal prep, serving users, maintaining hygiene, and handling deliveries in a calm ward-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant Catering qualifications preferred.
• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP is desirable.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Assisting catering staff with preparation and cooking of meals.
• Serving service users, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensuring areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Ensuring kitchen meets hygiene standards and complies with policies.
• Liaising with dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals
