Job summary
Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Catering Assistant at Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre in Sawbridgeworth to support the kitchen team with meal preparation, service and hygiene.
You will report to the Head Chef, work 37.5 hours per week, and have opportunities for courses and career development in a calm, supportive environment.
Desirable qualifications include catering experience and knowledge of COSHH/HACCP, with on-site meals and parking available.
Qualifications
- Relevant catering qualification is desirable.
- Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
- Experience of working in a similar role.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Responsibilities
- Assisting catering staff with preparation and cooking of meals.
- Serving service users, staff and visitors with food and beverages.
- Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
- Ensuring that all areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
- As part of the catering team, ensuring the kitchen and linked areas meet hygiene standards and comply with policies.
- Liaising with dietitians regarding dietary and planned meals.
