Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a Catering Assistant to support schools, colleges and nurseries in the Sheldon area on a temporary/agency basis covering holiday/sickness/vacancy cover. £12.85 per hour, paid weekly, with flexible shifts and ongoing consultant support.

The role involves assisting with meals, food prep, maintaining cleanliness, and strict adherence to food safety guidelines. DBS and Level 1 Food Hygiene are required, with opportunities to work locally or across the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or F&B Assistant.
• Enhanced DBS certificate is required.
• Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate minimum.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving meals and drinks.
• Food prep including meat, veg, sauces.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas spotless and hygienic.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines.
