Job summary

Leicestershire County Council seeks a Catering Assistant for the Food Court at County Hall. You will prepare, cook and serve meals, help set up dining areas and keep service areas clean. You may work weekends, bank holidays and varying shifts as required.

Flexibility is welcomed; duties include till work, serving and pot wash. A team-based environment values reliability, good numeracy and safe food handling. Contact for informal discussion provided.

Qualifications

• Have good numerical skills.
• Have previous food preparation experience with good food safety practice in accordance with legal requirements.
• Have basic knowledge of food safety and health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve food and drinks for users in the Food Court.
• Set up dining area and move tables/chairs as required.
• Wash dishes and clean equipment at end of service.
