Job summary

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions is recruiting a part-time Catering Assistant (NHS AfC Band 2) for North Tees Hospital, Stockton-on-Tees. The role is 20 hours a week on a rota, with shifts between 6am and 7pm, including weekends.

Salary is £25,272 pro rata per year, with benefits and a supportive team. The successful candidate will join the NHS subsidiary team delivering high-quality catering services for patients, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering is desirable.
• High awareness of HACCP and health and safety principles.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Health and Safety Training beneficial.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills required.
• Self-motivated and flexible to rota patterns.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in designated work areas.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, kitchen and personal.
• Utensil and crockery processing duties using mechanical dishwasher.
• Operation of heavy duty floor cleaning equipment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer care skills, courtesy and politeness.
• Adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
