Job summary

Thomas Franks is seeking a General Assistant for one of our Coventry locations. The role is part-time (25 hours per week) with a permanent contract and a starting rate of £12.71 per hour. You will work Monday to Thursday with optional evening/weekend functions across a fast-paced catering environment.

You will support the team with serving customers, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth daily operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced catering environment.
• Commitment to high standards of service and food safety.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings/weekends.
• Good hygiene and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and replenish stocks.
• Prepare service areas for daily business.
• Set up, serve, clear, and store food, beverages, or equipment for functions.
• Prepare basic food for sale following hygiene standards.
• Restock supplies during service to ensure smooth delivery.
• Empty and recycle rubbish in proper places.
• Occasionally work evenings or weekends for functions/events.
• Ensure adherence to food standards and wastage controls.
• Follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen controls.
