Job summary

Cygnet is hiring a catering assistant at Tabley House Nursing Home in Cheshire countryside. The role is part-time, 24 hours a week, working 8.30am–4pm with weekend and one weekday shift. You'll help deliver balanced meals and maintain high hygiene standards, supporting residents with warm, appetising food experiences.

Experience in catering is preferred, and you will join a dedicated team that values care, professionalism, and excellent communication. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Passionate about catering, preferably with experience in care settings.
• Enthusiastic, eager to learn and a proactive team member.
• Polite, professional and capable of maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals.
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks and other kitchen duties.
• Wash utensils, dishes and ensure proper storage.
