Job summary

Tor View School is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our school catering team. You will support basic food preparation, help with meals, maintain hygiene, and promote healthy eating for our pupils.

Hours are to be completed between 10am and 2pm. We offer a friendly environment, ongoing training, and benefits including a discount scheme and DBS/PVG clearance paid for.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is advantageous but not required.

Job description

Tor View School is recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join their catering team! We are looking for passionate people, who can support the provision of the catering operation assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene and who can promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People. In this role, you will under direction, take responsibly for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company's Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures and assist the Chef with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with these.

Hours to be completed between 10am and 2pm.

Previous experience of working in a catering environment advantageous but not essential. All applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
