Catering Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Catering Assistant in Stockton on Tees (TS16 0QB) for an immediate start with a leading employer on a temporary contract basis.

We offer weekly pay starting at GBP 12.93 per hour, with working hours from 08:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday. A Basic DBS Check is required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and control of the Catering Service in compliance with Equans Food Safety Management System.
2. Preparation and delivery of food and beverages according to customer contractual requirements.
3. Supervisory management of catering operatives.
4. Perform other duties as determined and agreed with the Facilities Manager.
5. Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (negotiable).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Knowledge of cooking theory, practical cooking techniques, and previous experience in a catering environment.
• Experience supervising a catering team.
• Understanding of Health and Safety and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Ideally hold or be working towards Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 3 Certificates.
• Optional but preferred: IOSH Supervising Safety and First Aid qualifications.
