Job summary

Acorn Stairlifts UK is seeking a Part-Time Catering Assistant at its Steeton Head Office in West Yorkshire. You will help prepare and serve meals for staff, maintaining a clean, welcoming canteen environment.

The role offers a structured hours week from Monday to Friday, with induction and training, and access to company benefits including healthcare and pension schemes. A supportive team and on-site parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or similar role preferred.
• Team player with good communication.
• Cooking or barista experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrate ability to follow food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of all breakfast and lunch meals in order to provide Acorn employees with refreshments.
• Serving a varied menu of hot and cold foods to cater for all requirements.
• Ensuring that the catering facility complies with Food Standard Agency regulations, and any other legal requirements, in order to maintain continued service.
• Assisting the Catering Supervisor in all other aspects of running an employee canteen, with specific relation to the ordering and delivery of stock and supplies.
• Day to day cooking, cleaning and service in a professional and pleasant manner
• Till work, stock replenishment
• Introduce new ideas and working practices to the team to improve the process as required
