Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Catering Assistant at Oasis Academy Fir Vale in Sheffield. The role supports daily food service between 10:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, during term time.

You’ll help with food preparation and serving, keep kitchens and dining areas clean, and follow hygiene and safety procedures. The position offers a permanent, part-time contract with term-time-only scheduling and a pay rate of £13.45 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or food service is helpful but not essential.
• Full training will be provided.

About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you'll help ensure everything runs smoothly.

You'll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Additional Information

Term Time Only - Equated Pay
This role works XX weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
