Job summary

Nottingham Trent University is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to support students across campuses. The role involves serving food, handling cash and delivering excellent customer service within a fast-paced retail environment. Shift pattern is 30 hours per week for 30 weeks, 08:30-15:00, based at Brackenhurst campus (term time only).

£25,086 per annum (pro rata)

30 hours per week / 30 weeks ; 08:30-15:00 - This post is based at our Brackenhurst campus (term time only)

About the Role
  • We operate over 4 campuses, 7 days a week so a flexible approach to working hour, and location, is essential.
  • We offer a range of modern food and beverage concepts, including barista style cafes, 'Grab and Go' products alongside a variety of freshly prepared hot dishes.
  • You'll be a friendly, approachable person who strives to deliver fantastic customer service.
  • Ideally, you'll have experience of working in a fast paced, customer facing, retail environment but it's not essential.
  • Duties include serving food, promoting sales and responding to customer queries.
  • Other duties you will be involved with are operating the cash register, collecting stock, and some basic food preparation.
  • Working with food it is important to maintain good hygiene standards, adhering to all health, safety and departmental standards and procedures.
