Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Permanent Catering Assistant for our Northampton account. The role is on-site at Greenfields Specialist School for Communication, term-time only, 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 10:00–14:00), with a 9-month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Basic preparation of food and drinks and vegetables.
  • Simple cooking, heating or reconstitution of prepared foods.
  • Transport, portioning and serving of meals.
  • Wash up and clear away equipment.
  • Cash handling and basic kitchen duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and surroundings.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Catering Assistant to join our Northampton account at Greenfields Specialist School for Communication, Prentice Ct, Northampton NN3 8XS - This role is on-site based and a 9 month Fixed Term Contract.

The salary is £13.45 per hour

The hours of work will be 20 hours per week: 10:00am - 2:00pm Monday - Friday - This role will be term time only

Amey manages facilities for 42 Northampton schools, ensuring safe, clean, and compliant learning environments for students and teachers. We deliver 24/7 services with minimal disruption, working in partnership to maintain high standards

What you will do
  • Basic preparation of food and drinks Preparation of vegetables and snacks
  • Simple cooking of food (including the heating and/or reconstitution of convenience foods and vegetables)
  • Transportation and serving of meals (including the packing and unpacking of food into containers)
  • Washing up and clearing away equipment
  • Cash handling
  • Cleaning of the kitchen, its surrounds and the equipment
