Amey is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Dumfries and Galloway Schools Account across six sites, including Stranraer Academy, Castle Douglas and others. The role is fixed-term for 6 months with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and a UK driving licence with a company vehicle provided.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a fixed term (6 months) experienced Operations Manager to join our Dumfries and Galloway Schools Account.
The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience as a facilities Manager or Operations Manager, with the capability to oversee a diverse portfolio of six school sites: Stranraer Academy, Castle Douglas School, Heathhall School, Kirkcudbright School, Lockerbie Academy and Moffat Academy.
The role requires strong operational leadership, stakeholder relationship management, and the ability to coordinate both Hard and Soft FM services across multiple locations, ensuring consistent service delivery, compliance, and operational excellence.
Experience of IOSH and PFI contracts is highly desirable. The successful candidate will lead and support a skilled team of Engineers, Facilities Team Leaders, Cleaning Supervisors and Caretakers, driving performance, safety and customer satisfaction across the portfolio.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this position, and a company vehicle will be provided.
