Job summary

Ilkley Grammar School is seeking a Catering Assistant on a fixed-term basis to March 2027, working 25 hours per week. Pattern: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 9.15am–2.30pm (15 min break); Wed 9.30am–2.45pm (15 min break). Term-time only.

The role supports the catering team in providing high-quality food for students, staff and events. Full training will be given, with an enthusiastic, adaptable candidate who works well in a team.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and adaptable; able to work as part of a team.
• Customer service skills and an understanding of providing quality food.
• Experience is an advantage; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce food for students, staff and hospitality events.
• Front and back of house duties including cashless till operation.
• Put away stock orders, wipe tables, wash up and clear away furniture.
• Load/unload dishwashers and assist with setting up/clearing areas.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Catering Assistant to join our established Catering team. Experience is an advantage, but full training will be given.
