Job summary

Miquill is a specialist school catering company seeking a Catering Assistant to be the friendly face of the kitchen team. You will deliver excellent customer service while assisting in preparing nutritious meals from fresh ingredients.

This role operates on a zero-hour, term-time contract with training provided. You’ll work in a supportive environment focused on safeguarding and quality service, with DBS disclosure process as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, versatile personality required for fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and engaging with students and staff.
• Previous catering experience is a bonus; training is provided.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred, full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dynamic team to provide a great dining experience.
• Assist with preparing and serving meals using fresh ingredients.
• Operate tills (full training provided).
• Maintain a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times.
• Strictly follow Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.

This is a zero-hour contract, based around term time (meaning hours may vary)

£12.71 per hour

Job Introduction

As a Catering Assistant, you are the friendly face and backbone of our kitchen team! You'll provide fantastic customer service while assisting in the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals of the highest quality, using our fresh ingredients.

Main Responsibilities

Working as part of a dynamic team to create a fun and unique dining experience for students and staff

Assisting with preparing and serving our delicious meals.

Operating Tills (full training provided)

Ensuring a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times

Strictly adhering to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy
