Job summary

Aramark UK is hiring a Catering Assistant at Campsfield IRC, Oxfordshire. You will help with meal service, food preparation, and keeping surfaces clean while delivering friendly customer service to residents, staff and visitors.

The role requires a Food Hygiene Level 2 (desirable) and 1–2 years in food services or retail; full-time, 40 hours per week, with some weekend work. DBS checks apply and unconditional support for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Food hygiene certificate – Level 2 desirable. However, relevant training will be provided.
• No previous experience required, but 1-2 years’ experience in a food services or retail environment desirable
• Work well as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Basic food preparation if required, including sandwiches and grab-and-go items.
• Serving students, ensuring high levels of customer service.
• Stocking deliveries and putting away stock
• Serving food and clearing tables/trays
• General cleaning front and back of house

Location: Campsfield IRC, Kidlington, Oxfordshire, OX5 1RE
Salary: £27,716.95 / £13.28 per hour
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (includes some weekends)
Shift pattern: times between 7:00 am to 9:00pm

To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have a legal right to work and must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

What you’ll do:

• Basic food preparation if required, including sandwiches, grab and go items, basic hot food if required.
• Serving students, ensuring you are always providing excellent customer service.
• Stocking up and putting away deliveries
• Serving food and clearing tables/bins/trays
• General cleaning back and front of house, making sure the unit is clean and tidy before, during and after service.
