Job summary

Windsor Academy Trust is seeking a Catering Assistant to join Manor Way Primary Academy. This part-time role (20 hours/week) involves food preparation, stock management, and customer service from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive dining experience for students and support a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or catering is desirable.
• Ability to work well in a team and provide good customer service.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Catering Assistant

20 hours per week

Grade 2

From June/July 2025

We are looking to appoint a Catering Assistant, who will:

• Assist in the smooth running of the food service to include assisting in the preparation and production of hot food, sandwiches, salads, baked goods and all other food served

• Assist in all aspects of stock control including stock takes and delivery monitoring

• Provide a positive friendly customer service for all students, staff and visitors using the facility

• Assist with all aspects of cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and other food service areas ensuring that all check-lists are completed.

• Assist in the production of food for special events, theme days and functions

The post is Monday - Friday, 10am - 2pm (20 hours per week)

Rate of Pay: Grade 2 (from £11,396)
