Position: Catering Assistant
Care home: Meadowcroft
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, NG17 4BR
Contract type: Full time, 35 hours per week. Must be flexible.
Rate: £12.41 per hour

About the role

Our Catering Assistants prepare nourishing meals for residents with diverse dietary needs. Daily tasks include:

1. Assisting with basic food preparation
2. Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, including washing up, cleaning freezers, and mopping floors
3. Cleaning and sanitising tableware
4. Understanding residents' needs and preferences to help develop suitable menus
5. Interacting with residents to gather feedback on meals
6. Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards
7. Working as a supportive team member within the Catering Team

No prior experience in the care sector is required; we provide induction, buddy support, and ongoing training. We value relevant experience and qualifications but focus on your enthusiasm and alignment with our core values: fun, integrity, responsiveness, success, and teamwork.

You should have a keen interest in food preparation, understanding of food hygiene, high personal hygiene standards, excellent communication skills, and be adaptable and flexible.
