Position: Bank Catering Assistant
Main Purpose: To assist in meal preparation, serving, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and service of meals and refreshments.
- Wash utensils, pans, and crockery, using dishwashers or hand washing as appropriate.
- Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, floors, fridges, freezers, and storage areas according to schedules.
- Ensure all equipment is stored properly and the kitchen is tidy after each shift.
- Report equipment faults and maintenance needs following procedures.
- Monitor and report supplies requirements.
- Record information as per Brainkind policies.
- Ensure meals and refreshments are appealing and meet standards.
- Support the Head Chef and team to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment, uphold confidentiality, and undertake additional tasks as needed.
About You:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks of employment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.
- Experience in a similar environment preferred.
