Position: Bank Catering Assistant

Main Purpose: To assist in meal preparation, serving, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the preparation and service of meals and refreshments.
  2. Wash utensils, pans, and crockery, using dishwashers or hand washing as appropriate.
  3. Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, floors, fridges, freezers, and storage areas according to schedules.
  4. Ensure all equipment is stored properly and the kitchen is tidy after each shift.
  5. Report equipment faults and maintenance needs following procedures.
  6. Monitor and report supplies requirements.
  7. Record information as per Brainkind policies.
  8. Ensure meals and refreshments are appealing and meet standards.
  9. Support the Head Chef and team to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
  10. Maintain a safe working environment, uphold confidentiality, and undertake additional tasks as needed.
About You:
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks of employment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Experience in a similar environment preferred.
