Job summary

Harper Green School in Farnworth is seeking a Catering Assistant for 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 1:30pm–3:30pm. This permanent, term-time role involves assisting in the school catering department, including equipment handling, food prep, cleaning, and stock rotation.

Experience in a large catering facility is welcome but not essential; uniform is provided. Applications are invited as soon as possible; closing date is 9am on Thursday 24th September 2026.

Salary: Grade A, scp 3: £5,789 per annum

(Full time equivalent salary: £25,614 per annum)

We are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to provide general assistance within the school catering department. The role involves various catering responsibilities including the carrying and moving of equipment, food preparation, cleaning, tray clearing and stock rotation.

Applications are encouraged from people with experience in a large catering facility; however this is not an essential requirement.

Uniform will be provided.
