Job summary

Noel-Baker Academy is recruiting two Catering Assistants to join our friendly team. You will support meal preparation, serve students and staff, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the kitchen, servery and dining areas.

We are seeking flexible, approachable individuals with a positive attitude. Catering experience is beneficial, with knowledge of food hygiene, COSHH and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and presentation of wholesome meals for students and staff

• Assist with stock management and ingredient monitoring
• Support compliance with dietary and allergy requirements and create a welcoming dining environment

Job description

We are looking for two reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our friendly catering team at Noel-Baker Academy. These are excellent opportunities for individuals who take pride in delivering a high-quality service and want to contribute positively to the daily experience and wellbeing of our students.

We have two positions available:

1. Catering Assistant, 15 hours per week
2. Catering Assistant, up to 20 hours per week, with hours dependent on candidate preference

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the preparation and presentation of wholesome meals, serve students and staff, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and safety across the kitchen, servery and dining areas. You will also assist with stock management, dietary and allergy requirements and help create a positive and welcoming dining environment.

We are looking for individuals who are flexible, approachable and able to work effectively as part of a busy team. Previous catering experience would be beneficial, along with knowledge of food hygiene, COSHH and health and safety requirements.
