Job summary

The Carlton Academy in Nottingham is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to help deliver high-quality meals in a busy school environment and support the health and wellbeing of pupils.

You'll work as part of a dedicated team, operate a cashless till system, help with food prep, and maintain clean catering and dining areas while following health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a till in line with NRS cashless catering system.
• Assist with the counter service of food.
• Help with the preparation of hot and cold food.
• Keep all food preparation and service areas clean and tidy.
• Wash and dry equipment.
• Ensure the dining room is clean and tidy at the end of each session, including wiping of tables.
• Take delivery of food stock and ensure they are to the required standards.
• Have a full understanding of health and safety, food hygiene and nutritional standards.
• Have good product knowledge.

As a Catering Assistant, you’ll:
