Job summary

Mere Green Primary School is seeking a friendly, reliable Catering Assistant to join our school catering team. You will help with food preparation and service, maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and support the team to ensure pupils receive a safe, enjoyable meal.

We value teamwork, a positive attitude and willingness to learn. No prior catering experience is required, but an interest in working with children and in a busy school kitchen is ideal.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and able to work well with children and colleagues.
• Reliable, organized and able to work as part of a team.

• Able to follow instructions in a busy environment.

Job description

Mere Green Primary School is looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our school catering team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in helping to provide a welcoming and positive lunchtime experience for our pupils. As a Catering Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of our school kitchen and dining service. Your responsibilities will include helping with food preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and supporting the catering team to ensure pupils receive a safe, enjoyable and well-presented meal. You will work as part of a friendly team and will play an important role in creating a positive lunchtime experience for our pupils.

We are looking for someone who is:
