Job summary

Eastfield Infant and Nursery School is seeking a Catering Assistant to join a friendly catering team. The role runs from 11:20am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, providing essential support to the Catering Manager and helping to prepare food to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills, enjoy working with children and be part of a dependable team. Full training will be provided, including Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification.

Qualifications

• Maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory/school regulations.
• Assists with basic food preparation, simple cooking and serving meals safely.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff and pupils as part of a team.

The core purpose of this role is to provideeffective support to the Catering Manager through assisting in preparing foodto a high standard, serving food to staff and pupils and clearing away afterservice.

We are seeking an individual who:

• Has the abilityto maintain a high standard of general cleanliness and hygiene to comply withstatutory and school regulations.
• Has the abilityto assist with basic food preparation, simple cooking and serving meals safely.
• Has goodinterpersonal skills and will enjoy working with children and as part of a team.

Experience of working in this field would be beneficialbut is not essential as full training will be given, including completion ofthe Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification.
