Job summary

Mere Green Primary School is seeking a friendly, reliable Catering Assistant to join our school catering team. You will help with food preparation and service, maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and support the team to ensure pupils receive a safe, enjoyable meal.

We value teamwork, a positive attitude and willingness to learn. No prior catering experience is required, but an interest in working with children and in a busy school kitchen is ideal.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and able to work well with children and colleagues.
• Reliable, organized and able to work as part of a team.
• Committed to cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Able to follow instructions in a busy environment.
• Positive and willing to contribute to the wellbeing of pupils.
• Experience in catering or school environment is beneficial but not required.
