Job summary

Care UK is hiring a Catering Assistant to work 30 hours per week with alternate weekends required. You will help maintain a clean kitchen, prepare produce for meals, store food safely and assist with general kitchen duties under the guidance of the Head Chef or Home Manager.

This role offers training and development opportunities through Care UK's Catering Academy, along with social-friendly hours, holiday enhancements, and various staff benefits to support your career in care catering.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas.
• Prepare produce for mealtime, for example vegetable preparation and making of sandwiches.
• Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce.
• Safely storing cleaning materials.
• Ensure all cooking utensils and pots are cleaned to the required standards.
• Carry out any tasks assigned by the Head / Second Chef or Home Manager.
