Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team at Cwmbran High School on a fixed-term contract until July 2027. The role is 20 hours per week during term time (38 weeks) with full training and a free meal on shift.

You will work with a friendly team to prepare and serve food, deliver excellent customer service and maintain high hygiene standards across hospitality spaces. This is a great entry point with apprenticeships and opportunities to grow within Aramark.

• Prepare and serve food, snacks and beverages professionally.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across hospitality areas and kitchens.
• Set up meeting and event rooms with refreshments and equipment.
• Clear tables and collect used crockery and service items after use.
• Wash, clean and return crockery and serving equipment to designated areas.
• Monitor and replenish stock of food, beverages and supplies.
• Support day-to-day operations to ensure a welcoming guest environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepareand serve food, snacks, and beverages to customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and enquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across hospitality areas, kitchens, and function rooms.
• Set up meeting and event rooms with refreshments, catering items, and required equipment.
• Clear tables and collect used crockery, glassware, and service items after use.
• Wash, clean, and return crockery, cutlery, and serving equipment todesignatedareas.
• Monitor and replenish stock levels of food, beverages, and hospitality supplies.
• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of hospitality services while ensuring a welcoming environment for guests.
