Job summary

Stir is seeking a Catering Assistant to be the face of our service, delivering excellent customer service while helping prepare delicious, nutritious meals using fresh ingredients. You will support chefs, operate tills with training, and ensure a clean, safe kitchen environment.

We offer a term-time schedule with 20 hours per week, no weekend shifts, and a DBS disclosure as part of safeguarding duties;Join a growing team focused on career development and student wellbeing.

As Catering Assistant, your core task is to be the face of our service, delivering excellent customer service with a smile, while getting hands-on with the preparation of delicious, nutritious, and high-quality meals made with fresh, sustainable ingredients.

Role Responsibility

Service Excellence: Work as a dynamic part of the team to create a fantastic dining experience for all our students and staff—you’re key to lunchtime happiness!

Customer Champion: Serve food and operate thetills(don't worry, we provide full training!).

Culinary Support:Jump in and assist the chefs with meal preparation, playing a vital role in bringing our delicious menus to life.

Keep it Sparkling: Ensure a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.

• Safety First:Adhering to all guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous catering or food service experience is a bonus!

Food Hygiene Level 2 is great, but not essential—we believe in training, so we’ll provide it for the right enthusiastic candidate!
