Job summary

Prettygate Infant and Junior School is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to support the school kitchen and dining hall. You will help prepare and clear lunchtime snacks and beverages for pupils to the standards expected by the school.

The role requires Level 2 Food Safety and Health & Safety training, with safer recruitment checks in place. Hours are 11.25 per week across 38 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, with a part-time contract.

Qualifications

• Required: Level 2 Food Safety and Health & Safety training.
• Experience in school kitchen or catering is desirable.
• Safer recruitment checks will apply to all appointments.

Responsibilities

• Serve pupils at the counter or trolley as required.
• Undertake cleaning of equipment including washing up.
• Keep up to date with required training including Level 2 Food Safety and Health & Safety.

Job Overview

Prettygate Infant and Junior School are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to support with all activities in the school kitchen and dining hall. The successful candidate will assist the team in the preparation and clearing down of lunchtime food and beverages served to pupils to the standards required by the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Serving pupils at the counter or trolley as required
• Undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment including washing up
• Undertake, and keep up to date, all required training including Level 2 Food Safety and Health & Safety
