Job summary

Kings Hedges Primary School is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to join our team for 7.5 hours per week during term time. The role requires a reliable, friendly individual who can work well with colleagues and engage with pupils during meal services. A permanent position is offered with an emphasis on safeguarding and adherence to school policies.

The appointment will include necessary safeguarding checks (Enhanced DBS) and an induction as part of the school’s safeguarding commitments.

We need: Catering Assistant

To start: As soon as possible

Pay Scale: NJC point 3 pay scale, £4,188.19pa (£24,796 FTE)

Hours: 7.5 per week

Times: 11:45am - 1:15pm Monday - Friday

We wish to appoint a dedicated, hard-working and motivated catering assistant. The contract will be permanent and term time only.

Is able to interact with students in a kind and empathic manner

Can be available for extra hours if required

• Kings Hedges complies the Childcare Act 2006 and the Childcare (Disqualification) and childcare (Early Years Provision Free of Charge) (Extended Entitlement) (Amendment) Regulations 208. All shortlisted candidates whose role will involve the responsibility for the provision or management of such childcare (including teaching) shall be required to declare that they are not disqualified from undertaking such work.
