Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Catering Assistant for roles in Luton and Bedford. The position offers up to 40 hours per week at £12.71 per hour with enhanced rates on weekends and an immediate start.

A DBS certificate is required, and applicants must hold a Level 2 Food & Safety certificate. Responsibilities include HACCP compliance, safe food handling, delivery checks, stock rotation, and general kitchen duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular HACCP regulations.
• Checking in of food deliveries ensures that only the highest standard of produce is accepted into the units.
• Ensuring that all food storage complies with food hygiene regulations and that FIFO stock rotation system is being followed.
• Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
• Preparation of service area and/or service points.
• Correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
• Assist in other unit kitchen onsite during quieter periods in hospitality.
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance and uniform to company regulations at all times.
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company's health and safety policy.
• Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
