Job summary

Berry Recruitment is recruiting for temporary catering assistant and food service assistant roles in Harlow. Monday to Friday with ad hoc shifts. You will help keep kitchens clean, wash dishes, assist with basic food prep and serve meals to customers.

Applicants should have or be prepared to obtain Enhanced DBS, Level 2 Food Hygiene, KCSIE Level 1, Safeguarding Level 2 and Allergen Training, plus a 5-year work history with references. All training is provided free of charge.

Qualifications

• DBS check completed or willing to obtain.
• Passing Level 2 Food Hygiene and safeguarding training.
• Ability to follow health and safety guidelines in education settings.

Responsibilities

• Keeping Kitchen and counters clean and tidy.
• Washing up pots, cutlery, crockery and other kitchen equipment.
• Assisting kitchen team with basic food preparation.
• Serving food to customers.
• Cleaning catering equipment, counters, tables and floors.
• Adhering to high standards of health and hygiene and company guidelines.

Job description

We are working with a Catering client that currently have a number of temporary catering assistant and food service assistant vacancies in Harlow.

Monday to Friday as well as Ad hoc shifts.

The work will involve:

• Keeping Kitchen and counters clean and tidy.
• Washing up pots ,cutlery ,crockery and other kitchen equipment.
• Assisting kitchen team with basic food preparation.
• Serving food to customers.
• Cleaning catering equipment, counters, tables and floors.
• Working to high standards of health and hygiene and following company guidelines.

The work is in kitchens in educational establishments so to qualify you must have or be prepared to get;

• Enhanced DBS
• Level 2 Food Hygiene
• KCSIE Level 1 and Safeguarding Level 2
• Allergen Training.
• 5 year work history and referencing.

All training provided free of charge.
