Job summary

BaxterStorey UK is seeking a Catering Assistant in Barnsley to support busy service periods with food preparation, serving guests, and barista tasks. This temporary 3–6 month role offers variety, on-site parking, and opportunities to contribute to a dynamic hospitality team.

The successful candidate will multi-task, deliver friendly, efficient service, and help maintain high standards during shifts Monday to Friday. Training and development are part of our commitment.

Qualifications

Title: Catering Assistant

Location: Barnsley

Salary: £12,71 per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This is a temporary position, between 3 - 6 months.

This is a a NEW ROLE to support our team and business on our busiest days of the week. This is a varied role that includes food preparation, serving customers, making barista coffee, filling vending machines, stock taking and much more! Job Description

• Service – serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner. Ensure that guests’ needs and requests are efficiently and effectively addressed
• Customer Service - provide excellent service by being attentive to guests’ needs at every point on their customer journey. Answering questionsin a friendly manner
• Teamwork - collaborate with all other staff to ensure the smooth flow of operations and support and contribute to creating an inclusive and safe working environment
• Adherence to Regulations - comply with health and safety regulations, as well as any specific food service or catering guidelines established on location
• Cleanliness - maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all catering areas
