Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Category Manager to join our Procurement team based in Leeds! As our new Procurement Category Manager, you will develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives across various categories, ensure optimal supplier performance, and drive cost savings through stakeholder management and negotiation skills. You will manage a portfolio of contracts and work with senior leadership to promote a cost-conscious mindset and financial sustainability.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement processes for strategic tenders
• Support divisions in leveraging third-party capabilities and ensure effective supply chain governance
• Contribute to cost savings, cost avoidance, and procurement initiatives
• Maintain compliance across procurement processes and challenge deviations when necessary
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including C-Suite and Executive Board, fostering collaboration and problem-solving

The Ideal Candidate

• Detailed knowledge of procurement practices, legislation, and contract management across categories
• Strong analytical and commercial skills
• Ability to influence and challenge at all levels with resilience
• Experience in managing category strategies
• MCIPS qualification (desirable)
