You will be working for one of London’s train operating groups, supporting the continuous running of multiple key overground railway lines across the capital. With over 5000 staff and responsibility for over 200 stations, you will be part of a team delivering meaningful rail projects to support communities right across London.
Your new role
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for building out the first-ever category strategies and driving their implementation. You will manage Rail Engineering, Infrastructure, and Construction across the group. You will develop relationships with key senior stakeholders to ensure procurement adds maximum value to the business. You will lead high-value tenders across your categories, ensuring compliance with UCR and PCR regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have a strong understanding of either the UCR2016 or Procurement Act 2023 regulations and be comfortable operating within these frameworks. Experience within the rail sector is essential to quickly establish relationships with technical stakeholders. Ideally, you will be MCIPS accredited or working towards this qualification.
