Job Description:

Procurement Heads are excited to be working with a major European snack company looking for a Category Manager to oversee CAPEX and MRO categories across their UK sites.

The role involves leading supplier negotiations, supporting engineering teams, developing category strategies, and ensuring cost-effective procurement across multiple countries.

Location options include Slough, Nottingham, Leicestershire, Middlesbrough, South Yorkshire, Herefordshire, Wakefield, Tanfield, and East Staffordshire, with a hybrid work model of 3 days onsite per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for CAPEX & MRO
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate high-value contracts
• Support project execution phases such as installations and FAT/SAT
• Collaborate with EU procurement and engineering teams
• Analyze complex data for decision-making and savings tracking
• Ensure compliance, sustainability, and supply security

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or a related field (CIPS preferred)
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in procurement, ideally within engineering
• Experience in contract management, CAPEX projects, and stakeholder engagement
• Strong skills in Excel and Word; valid driving license
