Job Description:

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading financial services client to recruit for an IT Category Manager.

The role:

As an IT Procurement Manager, you will be a key part of the Procurement Team. This position is wide-ranging and involves partnering with key stakeholders at all levels across the company. You will be exposed to a variety of responsibilities with depth and variety, supporting an ambitious and acquisitive organization.

Key accountabilities:

• Support IT and business procurement needs as a key member of the Group Procurement Team.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the UK and beyond to understand business needs and incorporate them into strategy and project delivery.
• Assist in developing the IT Procurement plan, including identifying savings and value opportunities.
• Support IT Business Partners on complex projects with project management and analytics.
• Negotiate and draft contracts.
• Monitor contract renewals, prepare strategies, and negotiate group standards to enhance supplier performance.
• Assist in designing and implementing supplier management plans for critical and strategic suppliers.

Skills and experience required:

• 3-5 years of IT and Procurement sourcing experience.
• Possession of or working towards CIPS/MCIPS qualification.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage projects from start to finish.
