Job summary

Kenvue in Reading, United Kingdom, is seeking a Category Development Executive to partner with retailers and deliver category and shopper insights. You will provide actionable plans to grow category and Kenvue sales and lead the category agenda with your customer.

You will own end-to-end range reviews, develop space recommendations for NPI and SKUs, and work closely with the customer development team to accelerate the category vision. This role is hybrid with travel up to 50% within the UK.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Category Development in FMCG and commercial acumen.
• Experience of retailer range reviews with customer buying/merchandising teams.
• Experience with customer and shopper insights.
• Proficiency in Nielsen, Kantar and customer databases (eg dunnhumby).
• Degree level educated and proficient English.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end range review processes with customers and make recommendations across Perfect Store levers.
• Develop range and space plans to optimise distribution and visibility of SKUs.
• Create tailored planograms using planogramming tools.
• Share category growth strategies and deliver tailored recommendations to customers.
• Provide category insights within the internal Multi-Functional Selling Team.
• Execute optimal contact strategy to win with retailers.
• Track category performance and highlight progress, opportunities and risks.
• Contribute additional category insights and data across all categories.

The Kenvue Customer Category Development team is responsible for delivering category plans that build sustainable growth for both KENVUE and our retail partners.

As a Category Executive, you will partner with our customers to provide category and shopper insights and provide compelling actionable plans and solutions to grow category and Kenvue sales.

You will lead the category agenda for your categories in your customer as well as working closely with your line manager to provide additional category insights to support their categories. You will work closely with the customer development team to influence and accelerate the implementation of the KENVUE category vision.

You are accountable for Kenvue distribution and shelf presence and achieving our Perfect Store metrics through Range Reviews.

Role Scope & Deliverables

• With the support of your line manager, lead the end-to-end range review process with your customer – making recommendations across all Perfect Store & category levers.

• Develop range and space recommendations that enable optimum distribution and visibility of NPI and all SKUs in our MSLs.

• Utilise planogramming software to create and present fully tailored planograms detailing the proposed range review recommendations.

• Provide thought leadership for customers, through sharing and tailoring our category growth strategies & delivering category recommendations.

• Provide category insights and thinking within your internal customer Multi-Functional Selling Team.

• Execute the optimal contact strategy to win with our retailer.

• Accountable for managing Kenvue category performance trackers and highlighting progress, opportunities and risks.

• Provide additional category insights and data on all categories.

• Be a key part of the highly engaged team culture in the Category Development Team, sharing learnings and supporting your colleagues across the full team.

Job Requirements

Experience Required:

• Understanding of Category Development in FMCG and commercial acumen

• Experience of the retailer range review process and timings, and have had external engagement with customer buying/ merchandising teams

• Experience of working with customer and shopper insights

• Proficiency in Nielsen, Kantar and customer databases (eg dunnhumby) essential

Other:

• Degree level educated or equivalent

• Proficient spoken and written use of the English Language

• Up to 50% Travel within UK for Customer Visits where applicable
