We have an excellent opportunity for a Category Buyer to join the Radar and Advance Targeting Procurement Category Team within the Procurement & Commercial Function of the Electronics Division. The successful candidate will report to the Radar and Advance Targeting Procurement Manager Category.

The role

1. Coordinate and manage the procurement processes of goods, professional and other services, components, and materials, in line with current strategies, procedures, and operational plans.
2. Interface with other company functions to provide purchasing solutions for internal customer requests.
3. Contribute to negotiations on price and T&Cs with suppliers, overseeing the definition and issuance of procurement contracts.
4. Issue purchase orders based on internal customer requirements and manage order variations.

Ensure effective procurement of goods and services, components, and materials, on time, within budget, and meeting technical requirements.

Activities

1. Coordinate and manage procurement processes in line with strategies, procedures, and operational plans.
2. Gather technical and commercial requirements to select suppliers.
3. Create documents, qualify suppliers, and notify them to conduct RFx processes.
4. Negotiate to maximize value from suppliers and bids.
5. Understand negotiation strategies, scenario modeling, and cost/benefit trade-offs of commercial terms.
6. Define the optimal number and mix of suppliers per region and category.
7. Establish KPIs to monitor supplier performance and compliance.
8. Automate purchase order issuance for existing contracts.
9. Monitor contract expirations and manage renewals.
10. Receive and verify Purchase Requisitions, transforming them into Purchase Orders.
11. Collaborate with other functions to provide purchasing solutions.
12. Utilize technology for automatic ordering, tracking, and reconciliation.
13. Issue purchase orders respecting internal requirements and manage variations.
