Job summary

The Very Group is seeking a Category Assistant to join our Electrical department, supporting our work with brands like Samsung, Hisense, LG and Sony. You will blend category management with our digital experience and marketing teams to deliver insights and enable faster, better-informed decisions across the space.

You will work with trading, marketing and customer experience teams within our Retail group, gaining exposure to end-to-end product setup, forecasting, and stock management while

Qualifications

• Experience in retail merchandising and/or buying.
• Strong Excel and numerical skills.
• Ability to analyse and communicate insights clearly.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• A collaborative approach and relationship-building ability.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end to end product set up, through to go live and trading.
• Create line level product forecasts and order requirements in response to performance and stockholding to maximise availability and stock efficiency.
• Manage stock through critical path management, progression and replenishment while identifying price/promotional needs.
• Act on pricing tools (e.g. Revionics) to find matches and make pricing recommendations.
• May be involved in sourcing new suppliers or brands with ownership of range building, through forecasting, trading and promo activity.
• Produce ad hoc reports for the wider category.
