Job summary

The Very Group is seeking a Category Assistant for the Electrical department on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will work across brands like Samsung and Sony, leading product setup from go-live to trading, and collaborate with trading, marketing and customer experience teams.

Ideal candidates have retail merchandising and/or buying experience, strong Excel and numerical skills, and a collaborative mindset to drive insights and stock efficiency across the range.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end to end product set up, through to go live and trading.
• Create line level forecasts and order requirements in response to performance and stock holding to maximise availability and stock efficiency.
• Manage stock through critical path management, progression and replenishment, identifying price/promotional needs.
• Utilise pricing tools (Revionics) to find matches and make pricing recommendations.
• May source new suppliers or brands, owning range building through forecasting and promo activity.
• Produce ad hoc reports for the wider category.

About the role

We are seeking a Category Assistant to join our Electrical department, supporting our work across leading brands such as Samsung, Hisense, LG and Sony. The role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

By integrating category management with our digital experience and marketing teams, weare able togain deeper insights into our customers' needs. This collaborative approach empowers us to make swifter, better-informed decisions, ensuring we provide the best possible offering in the space.You'llhave the chance to engage directly with some of the world's biggest brands, working alongside trading, marketing, and customer experience teams within our wider Retail group.

Your experience may stem from buying, merchandising, stockplanningor a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead theend to endproduct set up, through to go live and trading.
