Job summary

South West Water is recruiting a Catchment Operator to join the Treatment team in Totnes. This full-time, permanent role offers a starting salary of £27,523 per year with a standby and weekend allowance and progression up to £36,011 at Level 5.

Core hours are 37 per week with standby/on-call rotation after training. Responsibilities include on-site monitoring, chemical handling, and using the iSCADA system, with travel across the region as required.

Qualifications

• Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a Science subject.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out on-site monitoring and maintenance to ensure site operation and compliance.
• Responding to site conditions and monitoring information to ensure environmental protection.
• Storing and handling chemicals per COSHH and safety standards.
• Using the iSCADA control system.
• Adhering to schedules, rules and procedures.
• Travelling throughout the region to support activities.
