Manchester | Home based – monthly Manchester meetings | £60,000–£80,000
I'm recruiting a claimant Catastrophic Injury Senior Associate and Team Leader for a Top 100 law firm with a Legal 500 recommended serious injury department. The position is home based, with monthly meetings at the firm's Manchester office.
This is a senior role for someone who wants to remain close to complex injury cases while taking responsibility for the work and development of other lawyers. You will have the support of a team working on Multi-Track claims, as well as a supervisory role within that team.
You will deal with technically demanding claimant injury litigation, drawing on experience of multi-million-pound cases and the evidence needed to establish long-term losses. You will be involved in strategy on liability and quantum, medical and other expert opinion and the preparation of cases for settlement or trial.
Your leadership contribution will include reviewing work, helping colleagues deal with difficult technical issues and maintaining a clear approach to the preparation and progression of their cases. You should be able to combine independent judgement with constructive supervision.
I'm interested in solicitors with around six or more years' PQE and substantial claimant catastrophic injury experience. You should be able to demonstrate a meaningful role in complex, high-value files, together with the ability to supervise and support a team of serious injury lawyers.
If you want a home-based senior position that retains team involvement and substantive litigation work, this is worth a confidential conversation. The salary range is £60,000–£80,000 depending on experience, plus benefits. The working arrangement is home based with monthly Manchester meetings, making the role relevant to candidates who can attend that office when required.
